I know this sounds cheesy.
But I don’t have any other word to express here; Everyone has SOMETHING they excel at.
Very few are masters of everything.
Yes… the jack-of-all-trades exists and it’s not a negative…
But, that jack-of-all-trades is a master of ONE to TWO things.
Since I started in REI in 2015/16, and worked with Carrot in 2017/18… I’ve discovered copywriting (and practiced it daily since)… as my “superpower”.
I’ve worked with clients (and still do now helping sell multi-million dollar Vegas Strip MF projects VIA direct mail), and learned the “tricks to the trade” for any part of the sales process.
Whether that be acquisitions, follow up, or selling…
Copy can improve those processes to some extent; either by increasing response, improving your rapport, pre-selling before the appointment, or conversion.
So, I labored away last year putting together a book that systematizes the writing process for REI (specifically acquisitions but the principles stand true for anything). Teaching you how to:
*come up with USP’s,
*Big Ideas for each marketing message/campaign,
*headlines that are far different than your competitors and grab attention,
* how to write fluid copy that keeps interest,
*how to squeeze more response,
*how to structure and formulate sales messages,
*and much more (on email, images, answering objections, infotainment, and general tips)
The book, in my opinion, can be a $1000 course but I chose to write the book as a positioning play.
